淄柴Z170系列雙燃料發(fā)動機是以Z170系列柴油機為基礎(chǔ)，充分吸收國內(nèi)外先進(jìn)技術(shù)和設(shè)計思想，在保持其良好的動力性、經(jīng)濟性、可靠性等優(yōu)點的基礎(chǔ)上，設(shè)計開發(fā)的新型節(jié)能發(fā)動機。
淄柴Z170系列雙燃料發(fā)動機采用電控多點噴射技術(shù)。發(fā)動機可根據(jù)實際工況切換工作狀態(tài)，既可以使用LNG柴油雙燃料工作，也可以單獨使用柴油工作。其通過電子控制單元實現(xiàn)燃?xì)馀c柴油噴射的比例，使發(fā)動機始終運行在狀態(tài)下，在不影響功率輸出的條件下節(jié)省柴油，從而達(dá)到節(jié)能減排效果，綜合燃油替代率75%，燃油替代率85%。船舶常用工況多為低速大扭矩，雙燃料模式下能夠滿足低負(fù)荷加氣需求，低負(fù)荷工況下10%負(fù)荷點可以進(jìn)入雙燃料模式，替代率可達(dá)40%以上。
